Walk on The Wild Side Benefit for California Wildlife Center

Walk on the Wild Side

http://cwcwalkonthewildside.kintera.org

Dear Friend of CWC,

Please join CWC for our 1st annual 5K Walk on the Wild Side on Sunday, May 3 at Zuma Beach, Malibu for a fun event starting at 10 a.m. with refreshments/snacks, music by our wild DJ, trainer-led beach warm-up, release of a rehabilitated animal at the beach, wildlife education booths and top fundraising prizes.

You’ll share an unforgettable time with celebrity guests including Pamela Anderson, community leaders, CWC staff and volunteers and other local wildlife supporters.

By contributing to our goal of $68,000, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your donation will help the Center stay in full operation through our busiest time of the year – Baby Season; creating a safe haven for hundreds of species living in Southern California.

Staff, Volunteers and Grateful Animals at CWC

California Wildlife Center (CWC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife. The Center fulfills this responsibility by providing expert medical care and through community outreach and education. The Center is located on a three + acre parcel in the Santa Monica Mountains, generously provided by California State Parks.

Since its founding in 1998, CWC has provided care for more than 17,000 animals. Operating with a small staff, including a veterinarian and a team of 40 trained volunteers who log 13,000+ hours a year, CWC provides emergency care to native wildlife in Los Angeles County, 365 days a year. The Center does not receive government subsidies and must rely on donations to continue its mission.
